MY VISION

“Without a vision, the people perish.”
I like to think that with a vision, the people thrive.

In our tech world, we are saturated with images of a future we do not directly create. The tech folks are deciding for us. Hence, our present trajectory looks ominous.

The Good News: We can create a different future! Humans have a unique skill—we naturally bring to life the predominant images we hold in our mind’s eye. In fact, that’s the basic operating system of the human brain. Action follows imagination.

By envisioning a desirable future—talking about it, sharing it with family, friends, and colleagues—we put new possibilities in the mix. We disrupt the status quo. We, the common people, can truly create the world we want for our children.

And remember: Having a vision, doesn’t mean we know how we will get there. Far from it. A Vision is solely about the WHAT, not the HOW. In fact, a clear WHAT must come first because all effective HOWs depend upon it.

What’s your vision for the future? I’d love to know.

Parents meet their children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social developmental needs with ease.

Children have plenty of opportunities to develop their talents completely and grow into their vast human potential. Diversity is cherished and unique gifts celebrated.

Artificial intelligence and quantum computing serve humanity’s highest aims. World-wide guardrails prevent advanced technologies from becoming overlords, while working with human ingenuity to solve what-used-to-be difficult problems, such as cures for diseases and effective approaches to poverty and environmental restoration.

Children and teens learn how to use all forms of technology deliberately as tools for human advancement, including moral and ethical considerations.

Everyone spends significant time creating and contributing meaningfully to their local communities, ushering in a new era of collaborative consciousness.

Networked communication drives a global participatory democracy that pairs individual freedom with collective well-being for thoughtful planetary interdependence.
