FROM FRUSTRATING CHALLENGES…
TO NEW POSSIBILITIES…
TO SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS…

Parenting is often hard, demanding—a ruthless task master. Parenting is also a joy-filled adventure, a privileged blessing—even a wise guide to our own growth.

I help parents find sustainable solutions with more ease in their efforts and gentle grace through all the challenges. I am dedicated to help parents refuse the mainstream narrative that seeks to make us all victims of technology. My 1:1 coaching, books and programs have helped thousands of parents limit their kids’ screen time while using all forms of tech as allies in their children’s optimal development. I know I can help you, too.

The parent coaching model I developed has proven highly effective for parents all over the world—for any parenting challenge. I specialize in coaching parents about screentime/tech concerns. For parent coaching on other issues, please see the Directory of PCI Certified Parent Coaches®.

WAYS WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

1:1 Coaching Sessions for Individuals or Couples

Parent coaching is a personalized, practical, and effective way to help you resolve contentious tech challenges. Our coaching conversations are centered on you—your needs, concerns, and dreams for you, your children and your family. I invite you, never impose. I will never tell you what to do, how to solve a problem, or try to get you to do anything. Yes, I bring my expertise to our sessions. But I never forget you are the expert on your children.

I will ask you questions that I design thoughtfully to evoke the best in your situation—questions that will both nudge and nurture you—questions that intend to redirect your attention to all the wonderful possibilities that are not yet present within your current struggle—but will emerge from our collaboration. Together, we co-create new possibilities, energizing ideas, effective techniques—sustainable solutions.

In essence, my coaching is an activation and unfoldment of the Creative Source within you and your children. You will be delighted to discover new capacities. Your innate talents and strengths flourish. Your children blossom into more of their full potential. Calm and Ease return. Count on it!

After Eight 90-Minute Coaching Sessions with me, you will:

Gain clarity about what matters most to you and learn how to align parenting priorities with family tech choices.

Apply a proven system to create your unique Family Thoughtful-Tech Plan that works for everyone.

Unleash more energy and creativity to stay the course!

Please Note: I keep a small private coaching practice because of my work at PCI.
If I can’t accommodate you, I will refer a professional parent coach I have trained that I know will take good care of you!

Consulting Services

Consult derives from the word, “council,” harkening back to the word, “huddle,” according to Joseph Shipley’s Dictionary of Word Origins. Huddle describes my consulting to a T.

I will offer suggestions, provide current research, suggest innovative design elements, and if you like, even write new curricula. But whatever I do, I rely on our huddle to co-create the outcomes together. I work with schools and organizations that dream big and seek systems solutions for dynamic growth. I like a good challenge! Over the years, I have helped to create effective parenting programs, technology policies, media/digital literacy curricula and teacher training and coaching programs.

If you and your team find yourselves in a muddle, in need of creative infusion, a huddle with me may be your next step.

Let's talk possibilities!

“When I reached out to Gloria for her coaching services, I was struggling with my fear of my son’s technology use. I felt scared, helpless and really confused. I didn’t know if I had to set stricter limits or not. I generally felt lost. Gloria became my lighthouse in the midst of my parenting confusion, fears and insecurities. She always believed in me and my child when that was not easy for me to do. With her understanding, empathy, scientific knowledge, positive feedback and amazing suggestions, she helped me feel more empowered and grounded in my own parenting wisdom. After our eight coaching sessions I became a more confident mom, able to understand my son’s tech use more, activate my own effective parenting ideas, and enjoy my relationship with him without fear!”
